I am a weekly community newspaper publisher for over 25 years. I grew up in Northwood, Iowa, moved to California to attend college and graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English Communications. I also have a paralegal degree and law firm and courtroom experience.

My husband John and I have been married for 38 years. We have two adult children who currently live in California.

I am the Worth County Iowa Democratic Chair and have been involved in Democratic campaigns for many years.
I think Iowans deserve a diverse government. Currently we are ruled by Republicans in the House, Senate and Governor. I believe in a two party system which promotes neutral territory and encourages political parties to find common positions which appeal to all Iowans. A two-party system promotes debate on issues and forces legislators to work across the aisle.
Leadership, conscientious, ability to listen and share, I do not talk about myself very much but have a drive to help people.
I also am adventurous.
To listen to constituents and share them in the Statehouse to come up with ideas, solutions to make live better for all Iowans.
Worked in a newspaper at the Northwood Anchor
Stories from constituents that have mentally or physically challenged family members. They are losing services because of the privatized medicaid system in Iowa.
