New York Supreme Court 1st Judicial District

Jane S. Solomon was an acting justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to the position in 1993. She also served on the New York City Civil Court prior to her retirement in 2011.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Solomon received her A.B. degree from Vassar College in 1967 and her J.D. degree from the New York University School of Law in 1970.[1]

Career

Solomon began her career in 1970 as a staff attorney with Manhattan Legal Services. The following year, she became an associate of the law firm Ordover, Rosenberger & Rosen. She then worked for Hahn Hessen Margolis & Ryan from 1973 to 1975, was a member of Anderson Russell Kill & Olick, P.C. from 1975 to 1977 and then practiced with Rosenman Colin Freund Lewis & Cohen from 1977 until her judicial election in 1986.

Solomon was elected to the New York City Civil Court in 1986 and was re-elected in 1996 and 2006. Since 1993, she has been an Acting Supreme Court Justice.[1]
