Biography
Miller has a bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and master's in educational administration from Cal State Fullerton. She began her teaching career at San Clemente High School, teaching there for nine years before moving to Currie Middle School where she also taught for nine years.[1]

The election in Santa Maria-Bonita Elementary featured two seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. There was no primary election.
Two at-large incumbents, Fidenzio "Bruno" Brunello and William "Will" Smith, were up for re-election. Brunello and newcomer Ricky Lara defeated Smith and Janeen Miller to win the two available seats.
