Janet Ahern was a 2014 candidate for the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.[1]

Ahern previously ran for a seat on the Orleans Parish District Court in Louisiana in 2012. Ahern withdrew from the race in January 2012.[2]

Ahern ran for election to the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 34.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Monique Barial and Michelle Scott-Bennett.
General: She was defeated in the general election on December 6, 2014, after receiving 45.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Monique Barial. [1][3][4]

Ahern received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 1983 and her J.D. degree from the Loyola University School of Law in 1986.[5]
