Janet Ahern
Janet Ahern was a 2014 candidate for the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.[1]
Ahern previously ran for a seat on the Orleans Parish District Court in Louisiana in 2012. Ahern withdrew from the race in January 2012.[2]

Ahern ran for election to the Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 34.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Monique Barial and Michelle Scott-Bennett.
General: She was defeated in the general election on December 6, 2014, after receiving 45.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Monique Barial.

Ahern received her undergraduate degree from Tulane University in 1983 and her J.D. degree from the Loyola University School of Law in 1986.[5]
