Janet Allen
Janet M. Allen was a judge for the 46th Circuit Court in Michigan (counties of Crawford, Kalkaska, Otsego). She was appointed by former Governor Granholm on September 20, 2005. She replaced retired Judge Alton Davis.[1] She was re-elected on November 2, 2010, to a six-year term that ended on January 1, 2017.[2][3]
Education
Allen graduated from the University of Michigan in 1973 and went on to receive her J.D. degree from the Detroit College of Law in 1979.[4]
Career
Allen began her career in 1979 as a clerk for the late Michigan Supreme Court Judge Blair Moody, Jr. She then worked as an attorney and owner of Janet M. Allen, P.L.C. in Gaylord, MI from 1982 until she was appointed to the circuit court in 2005.[1]
2010 election

Allen was re-elected without opposition in the general election on November 2, 2010.[2]
