Janet Cook
Janet Cook was a 2014 candidate for the 292nd District Court in Texas.[1]
She was previously a Republican candidate for the Dallas County Criminal Court (No. 3) in 2010.[2]

Cook ran for election to the 292nd District Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 46.5 percent of the vote. She competed against Brandon Birmingham.

Cook was defeated by Democrat Doug Skemp in the general election for the Dallas County Criminal Court in Texas.[2]
Education
Cook earned an undergraduate degree from Angelo State University, going on to receive her J.D. from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1981.[5]
