Janet M. Swihart

Janet M. Swihart is a judge for the Beaver County Magisterial District in Pennsylvania.[1] Swihart was first elected to the court January 3, 1994 and is the second woman to serve the court. She was re-elected in 1999, 2005, and 2011. Her current term expires in 2018.
2011 election
Swihart won the Democratic party primary on May 17. She received 57.5% in the Democratic primary and 46.6% of the vote in the Republican primary. She defeated Brian Rohm in the general election on November 8, winning 51.18% of the vote. [2][3]

Education
Swihart earned her undergraduate degree from the Bradford School.[4]
Professional career
Swihart served the magisterial district as an assistant to Judge Stephen D. Mihalic before being elected to fill his vacant seat after his retirement.[4]
