Janice McHenry
Janice McHenry (Republican Party) was a member of the Indianapolis City Council, representing District 6. McHenry assumed office in 2008. McHenry left office on January 1, 2020.
McHenry (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Indianapolis City Council to represent District 6. McHenry lost in the general election on November 5, 2019.
Biography
McHenry attended Ben Davis High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and a master's degree from Butler University. She was an elementary school teacher for 32 years.[1]

2015
The city of Indianapolis, Indiana, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A partisan primary election took place on May 5, 2015. The filing deadline for major party candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015. The filing deadline for independent or minor party candidates was July 15, 2015.[2] Twenty-five city council seats were up for election. Indianapolis's four at-large seats were not up for election, because those seats were scheduled to expire at the end of 2015.[3]
In the Republican primary election for District 4, incumbent Janice McHenry faced Joseph Brendan Baker. In the Democratic primary, Francisco Robert Islas ran unopposed. McHenry defeated Islas in the general election.[4]
