Janice Miller Karlin
Janice Miller Karlin was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, District of Kansas. She was first appointed to the court on October 17, 2002.[1][2] Karlin retired on September 1, 2018.[3]
Education
Judge Karlin received her undergraduate degree and J.D. from The University of Kansas.[4]
Professional career
Prior to joining the bankruptcy court, Karlin was an assistant U.S. attorney for 22 years.[5]
Judicial career
District of Kansas, bankruptcy
Karlin was a member of the District of Kansas bankruptcy court.[1] She was first appointed to the court on October 17, 2002. She succeeded Judge Robert E. Nugent as chief judge of the court on July 1, 2016. Karlin retired on September 1, 2018.[3]
