Janice Rottenberg is the Iowa state director for Sen. Elizabeth Warren's (D-Mass.) 2020 presidential campaign. Previously, Rottenberg worked on Democratic Party coordinated campaigns in Iowa and Ohio, as well as Hillary Clinton's (D) 2016 presidential campaign, Terry McAuliffe's (D-Va.) 2013 gubernatorial campaign, and Barack Obama's (D) 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.[1]

Career

Before graduating from college, Rottenberg was a field organizer for Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. In October 2011, she joined Obama's 2012 re-election campaign as an intern to the deputy national field director. From January until November 2012, Rottenberg was a regional field director for Organizing for America in New Hampshire. The next year, she was hired as a regional field director for McAuliffe's 2013 Virginia gubernatorial campaign. From March until November 2014, Rottenberg was a field director for the Iowa Democratic Party's coordinated campaign.[2]

In April 2015, Rottenberg was hired as a regional organizing director for Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. In February 2016, she became the campaign's Minnesota organizing director, and in March 2016, the Washington state caucus director.[2]

From April until November 2016, Rottenberg worked as the organizing director for the Ohio Democratic Party's coordinated campaign. In 2017, she became the campaigns director for Patients for Affordable Drugs, a position she held until July 2018. Rottenberg directed the Iowa Democratic Party's coordinated campaign from July until November 2018. She joined Warren's campaign as Iowa state director in January 2019.[1][2]

Rottenberg graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2011.[2]
