Janice Snider

Janice Snider is a judge for the Hamblen County General Sessions Court, Division II in Tennessee. She is based out of Morristown. She was elected to this position in August of 2006.[1][2] She was re-elected in 2014 for a term that expires August 31, 2022.[3]
In 2016, she assumed jurisdiction over the county's juvenile court, as well.
Education
Snider received her B.S. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1981.[4]
Career
Snider began her career in 1981 as a staff attorney with the Legal Services of Upper East Tennessee. She became a managing attorney there in 1983, serving in the Morristown office until 1985. She then worked for over 20 years as a sole practitioner in the private practice of law. She also served for 15 years as a Hamblen County Juvenile Court referee and for 6 years as a Morristown Municipal Court judge.[4]
