Biography
Janice Weiner earned a B.A. in comparative literature from Princeton University in 1980 and a J.D. from Stanford University in 1984. Weiner's career experience includes working as a foreign service officer with the U.S. Department of State, a consul general, and a press attache with the U.S. embassy in Mexico City.[1]

One of the seven seats on the Iowa City Community School District Board of Education was up for special election for a three-year term on July 19, 2016. The three candidates running for the vacant seat were J.P. Claussen, Paul Roesler, and Janice Weiner.[2]
