I have over 30 years of professional experience in banking, corporate finance, and corporate board service. I hold both an MBA and a CPA (CO). My educational experience includes serving as adjunct faculty at UCCS, and most recently, for the past 4 years, working as a substitute teacher in Cheyenne Mountain District 12. My financial acumen will be of service to the district with its $75 million budget. My corporate governance experience will also aid in the effective functioning of the board. My vision for the district is to maintain and further improve the level of excellence in education that has made it the top district in the State of Colorado. I am a 20-year resident of the district and a proud mother of 2009 graduate of Cheyenne Mountain High School. I have strong commitment to serve the community of Colorado Springs. I currently serve as alternate member of the Audit Committee of the City of Colorado Springs, member of El Paso County Parks Board and previously served for 10 years as a member of the Utilities Policy Advisory Committee of the Colorado Springs Utilities.

Elected official must be accountable to the constituents and carry out the duties with impeccable integrity.
The core responsibility of any elected official is to effectively carry out the duties of the office to which voters have elected him/her. Elected official represents voters and must be accountable to them.
I worked at Burger King starting at the back of the grill and being promoted to cash register within few weeks. I had it for 3 months before school started.
Primary job of a school board member is to provide oversight to the district leadership and address any policy changes if such are needed.
