Jannie L. Blackwell

Biography
Blackwell is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received a bachelor's degree in education from Cheyney University and a master's degree in education from St. Joseph’s University. Her professional experience includes serving as a special assistant to the Governor of Pennsylvania, a delegate to the National Convention and an administrative assistant is several political campaigns.[1]

The city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A primary election took place on May 19, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was March 10, 2015. In the Democratic primary election for District 3, incumbent Jannie L. Blackwell was slated to face Tony Dfax King, but King did not appear on official election returns.[2] No Republican candidates filed to run for this seat.[3]
