The city of Corpus Christi, Texas held elections for city council on November 4, 2014. The candidate filing deadline was August 18, 2014. Eight council seats - three at-large and districts one through five - were up for election. In District 2, the candidates were Brian Rosas, Jano Andrasik and Joshua Tijerina. Incumbent Chad Magill ran for an at-large seat. Because no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the general election, the top two vote-getters - Rosas and Tijerina - faced each other in a runoff election on December 16, 2014.[1] Rosas was the winner.[2]
