Born in Washington D.C., I am the son of a retired Air Force officer. Growing up on Air Force bases has given me a great appreciation for our Armed Forces. After my father's assignment in New Mexico, I decided to stay and attend New Mexico State University, earning a Bachelor's in Psychology.
Professionally, my adult work experiences include
  • 20's- business management/small business ownership
  • 30's- program management/directory social work
  • 40's- Senior Pastor/ The United Methodist Church
I have also earned two master's degrees in ministry, and am beginning my dissertation to earn a Doctorate in the area of Advanced Leadership/Ministry.

Recently turning 50 years old, I am running for state office in my legislative district, representing the northeast side of Albuquerque. I pride myself in being moderate in my views, with an appeal to the all-important independent vote.
  • My past 10 years have consisted of leading and regularly speaking-to ultra-conservatives and progressive liberals, under the same roof. This unique experience has equipped me to appeal well to the moderate/independent, without turning off the extremes.
  • My generation wants to see the two polarized extremes work together and find compromise for the majority. I believe that I can be a bridge in these efforts.
  • When voting in the June 4th Republican primary, keep in mind that I can beat the Democrat, while my opponents extreme views will not give her much of a chance.
I am very-much pro-police, as they are our day-to-day protecters of our society. I aim to create legislation which strongly supports them professionally and emotionally.
My father. A dependable, honorable, father, husband, and professional- who has spent his life working and serving God, country, and family.
27 years of successful business management/leadership experience. The key word is successful, as most can attain some management/leadership experience, but having a successful track record is very difficult. Doing it over a long period of time, has made it an innate trait, which will translate into the political spectrum.
Host at a Mexican restaurant in Alamogordo, NM (Margo's!)
Absolutely. It is imperative to not take the necessary battles personally.
Yes, but I don't believe this is likely to resolve the partisan disputes. At least it would be, overall, a greater representation of the people.
