Smith was appointed to Florida's Sixth District Court of Appeal by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). The Sixth District Court of Appeal was established on January 1, 2023.
Biography
Smith earned a bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University and a J.D. from Washburn University School of Law.[1]
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Smith was a partner with the law firm Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A. His professional experience also includes service as a JAG officer with the U.S. Air Force.[1]
