| Collapse all
- We need to empower local schools to better serve their students by removing unnecessary barriers, reversing course on the AEA breakdown, increasing the yearly per pupil funding to keep up with inflation, & removing multiple capacities from the Iowa Department of Education allowing districts to make the best data driven decisions for their students.
- 21,000 Iowans will be diagnosed with cancer in 2024. Our state has the second-highest rate of cancer and the fastest-growing rate in the nation. Having had multiple family members lose their battle with cancer and others in remission I understand the toll this is taking on Iowans. We need to invest in fixing this problem, and make decisions in Des Moines to reverse this trend.
- Rural Iowans are the backbone of our economy and we need to better support them by addressing the healthcare, housing, and water crises facing many rural communities,.
