Jason Furman
Jason Furman was the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under the Obama administration. He was confirmed by the Senate on August 1, 2013.[1]
He previously worked in the Obama administration, held positions in the World Bank, and worked in the Clinton administration.[1]
Biography
Furman was born in New York City and attended the London School of Economics. He earned a Ph.D. from Harvard University. He worked on the presidential campaigns of both Barack Obama in 2008 and John Kerry in 2004. Furman also worked in the White House as an adviser during the Clinton administration. Additionally, he was a lecturer at Columbia and Yale Universities, and he has held positions at the World Bank and the Brookings Institution.[2][1]

Furman's mother, Gail Furman, runs the Furman Foundation. His brother, Jesse Furman, was appointed to be federal judge by Obama in 2012.[2]
