Jason Moretz is the Windsor Hills District representative on the Roanoke County Public Schools school board in Virginia. First appointed in September 2015, Moretz won a new term in the by-district general election on November 7, 2017.

Three of the five seats on the Roanoke County Public Schools school board in Virginia were up for by-district general election on November 7, 2017. Incumbents Tim Greenway and Jason Moretz ran unopposed and won re-election to the Vinton District seat and the Windsor Hills District seat, respectively. Incumbent Jerry L. Canada did not file to run for re-election to the Hollins District seat, which left it open for a newcomer. David Linden won that seat after running unopposed.[1]

Two seats on the Roanoke County Public Schools school board were up for special election on November 8, 2016, for two unexpired terms. Incumbents Jason Moretz and Donald Butzer ran for re-election in the Windsor Hills District and the Catawba District, respectively. Butzer, who was appointed to his seat in July 2016, defeated Beverly Orange and Tom Sova IV to win another term on the board. Moretz was appointed to his seat in September 2015 and won re-election unopposed.[3][4][5]
