Jason Mrochek is a conservative republican running to represent the 26th Congressional District of Texas. His devotion to God, his family, and his country are the hallmarks of his lifetime of service. Jason is the founder and Executive Director of the Patriot Coalition. He is an Eagle Scout and a veteran of the United States Army and graduate of West Point, holding a B.S. degree in Systems Engineering.

After being honorably discharged from the Army, and in addition to continuing his service to our nation as a leader in the liberty movement since 2004, Jason has held positions as a Senior Consultant for a "Big 4" consulting firm, founder and president of a custom software development firm, and business analyst for a global medical device company.

During his time leading the Patriot Coalition and FIRE (Federal Immigration Reform and Enforcement) Coalition, Jason has been interviewed with numerous national and local news programs in television, radio, and print to include Fox News, ABC World News Tonight, MSNBC, and more.

Jason is a Christian and has been married 22 years to his wife, Rea. He is the father of 3 sons, ages 21, 18, and 15. All three boys were homeschooled by Jason and Rea. He currently lives with his wife and 2 youngest sons in Little Elm.
My approach to end the illegal alien invasion would include the following:

1) Provide sufficient funding to complete the wall at the southern border
2) Provide sufficient funding to investigate and prosecute all employers of illegal aliens, - big and small, urban and rural. The occasional "perp walk" of criminal employers is not sufficient to turn off the illegal employment that acts as a magnet to illegal aliens.
3) Provide sufficient funding to track down visa overstays which have represented as much as 40% of the illegal alien invasion historically.
4) Provide oversight of federal law enforcement to ensure that 8 USC 1324 is being used to prosecute those aiding and abetting illegal aliens. This would include prosecuting those elected officials or their appointees who propose, advocate, pass, or enforce state laws or local ordinances in attempted preemption of federal law to the contrary.

5) Pass laws requiring local and state jurisdictions to include data points on a) nationality, and b) legal status of those arrested, charged, or convicted for crimes. This law would make any federal payments to these jurisdictions contingent upon providing these data elements.
Character and Integrity. My adopted motto is "Principles only mean something IF you stick to them when it's INCONVENIENT"

I would like to help restore Constitutional governance to the United States of America and preserve it for our descendants
I have always been fascinated with space exploration. I attended Space Camp and Space Academy in Alabama as a young boy. I recall the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion and I was about 13 years old.
I started my own business as a 13 year old boy called "Odd Jobs Unlimited" where I recruited my friends to hire them out to households who needed odd jobs done in their neighborhoods. Later, my business changed to installing large "for sale" signs in residential yards and taking pictures of homes and cars for insurance agents. All told, I probably ran this business for a total of 3 years.
At various points in my life, I have become hyper-focused on my passion for restoring Constitutional governance to the detriment of my personal life. I have had to really focus on finding a healthy balance for me personally and my family.
The House of Representatives is the only chamber of our Congress that was originally supposed to represent the people interests in legislating. Additionally, the House is the only chamber authorized to write bills raising revenue (including taxes) specifically BECAUSE they were the only house of Congress intended to be directly elected by We The People.
The greatest threat to American security is the illegal alien invasion. In addition to Congressional actions to increase funding and close asylum loopholes, the President through his law enforcement agencies, should drastically increase the enforcement of immigration laws to include:

1) completing construction of a physical barrier along the southern border and establishing appropriate overwatch by agents and technology,
2) investigations and arrests of employers hiring illegal aliens,
3) tracking down and deporting of fugitive foreign nationals who overstayed their visas,
4) arresting those who aid and abet illegal aliens - to include public officials and their appointees who introduce, advocate for, or vote for so-called "sanctuary" jurisdictions

5) increased interior enforcement of areas known for high populations of illegal aliens
Committees on: Appropriations, Judiciary, Armed Forces, Ethics, Homeland Security, Oversight and Reform, Rules, Veteran's Affairs, Ways and Means, Intelligence, Taxation
