Collapse all
|- Less taxes, less regulation, more efficient spending. Innovation through emerging technologies is the key to restoring manufacturing to our country, & communities. We will end burdensome regulations, & resolve to be energy independent.
- Health autonomy, and an end to mandates. There is no more sacred right than to enjoy our foundational freedoms without fear of government intrusion. Transparency is required of our government, not us to them. End the pandemic through common, cheap prophylaxis. I will never allow such a shutdown of our society, and never shut our citizens out of the process again.
- End Congressional insider trading, career politicians, and ensure legal voting with transparent elections. I will only serve 6 years, and will vote to demand an end to trading within the legislative body while serving. It's only fair, and honest.
I will also ensure that each and every bill voted on will be explained in clear terms to every constituent, by experts pulled from the community. There will never be a vote from my office that isn't in the best interest of my district, regardless of the political costs. The office of Texas 17's Congress-member will always be the office of the people whom I serve.

Campaign website
Nelson's campaign website stated the following:
“ |
Border Security We are a nation of laws with a sovereign border. I will work tirelessly with the Texas Caucus to ensure our border is finally secured with a REAL WALL, enforce the “Remain in Mexico” policy, and work to destroy drug and human smuggling pipelines owned by terrorist drug cartels. Health Freedom Texans’ medical decisions are theirs alone, and they don’t want talking heads from Washington telling them what to do. No mandates of any kind, at any time. No matter what. Over-Taxation, and Over-Regulation Simplify the tax code. End insane regulations. Bring good, honest work back to our communities. Veterans Affairs Almost two million Texans are Veterans of the Armed Forces. With a community built on those who served, it’s time to ensure that not one veteran suffers without care. As a 100% disabled combat veteran, I commit to standing with our nation’s Heroes. Second Amendment Texans will never back down on this issue. I will never cast a single vote that infringes on your constitutional right to bear arms, in any way. Period. 100% Pro-Life Protecting the most vulnerable lives in any community is the most basic function of government. I am firmly committed to the Pro-Life movement and will fight to ensure not a dime of your tax dollars goes towards abortion. Election Integrity Voters all over this district are tired of worrying about their legal votes—and only legal votes—counting. Texans deserve to have faith that other states have the same high standards we do—including MANDATORY voter ID and electoral transparency. Term Limits in Washington D.C. It’s getting near impossible to clean out the swamp in D.C., and I will lead from the front—giving you a contracted guarantee that I will only stay 3 terms, while fighting to remove out-of-touch career politicians.[4] |
