Jason R. Aslinger

Jason R. Aslinger is a judge for the Darke County Court of Common Pleas Juvenile/Probate Division, which presides over Darke County in Ohio. He was appointed to the court by Governor John Kasich to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Michael D. McClurg. Aslinger assumed office on April 4, 2011.[1] Aslinger was re-elected to the Darke County Court of Common Pleas in 2014, winning a new term that expires on December 31, 2020.[2]

Aslinger defeated James Detling in the Republican primary on March 6, winning 64.75% of the vote. He was elected to serve the remainder of McClurg's unexpired term on the Darke County Court of Common Pleas after running unopposed in the general election on November 6, 2012. His term is effective until February 8, 2015[4][5][6]
Education
Aslinger received his undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University in 1993 and his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1996.[1]
Career
Before he became a judge, Aslinger worked as an attorney in private practice. He was first an associate attorney at Dynes & Garbig in Arcanum, Ohio, and later a partner at Amick, Breaden & Aslinger in Greenville, Ohio. Most recently, he practiced law at his own firm, The Law Office of Jason Aslinger, LLC, also based in Greenville, Ohio.[1]
