What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
1. Advance President Trump’s agenda to secure our borders and stop illegal immigration. 2. Defend the Second Amendment and fight for our North Florida values. 3. Help our communities recover from Hurricane Michael.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
One of my top priorities in the Florida House will be to amp up vocational training. Like me, more than 75 percent of the folks in my district don’t have a college degree. And I want to make sure Florida students learn the skills they need to be successful. With the right skills and training, Floridians can get good paying jobs and support their families.
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
When I'm elected to the Florida House of Representatives, I'm going to bring my North Florida values. I'm a Christian, a husband and a father. I'm a conservative who supports President Trump, fights for the Second Amendment and defends life.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Our region was ravaged by Hurricane Michael. I saw it first-hand when the hurricane blew through my hometown of Port St. Joe. My brother's house was destroyed. My parents' house had eight feet of water in it. A neighbor's house went up in flames. So many Floridians are still suffering from the destruction Michael caused. And it's our job to help them get back on their feet. I'll fight for funding and support for North Florida to recover and rebuild stronger than ever.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
My parents instilled in me the value of hard work at a young age. When I was 12, I started digging ditches and installing gas pipes in homes. I made just $4 an hour. As soon as I could drive, I started a job at Ruby Tuesdays. There, I learned the importance of good customer service.
Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?
I'm a small business owner who has never run for office. Given my experience, I'll focus on breaking down government bureaucracy and red tape that gets in the way of doing business.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
