Jason Wilson
Jason Wilson (b. August 12, 1968) was a Democratic member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 30. In 2011, he served as Assistant Minority Whip. Wilson was a Congressional Intern for U.S. Congressman Douglas Applegate in 1990. He was a Campaign Volunteer for Charlie Wilson for House from 1996 to 2004. He was also a Volunteer Intern for the Ohio House of Representatives from 1998 to 1989. Wilson then worked as a Campaign Volunteer for Charlie Wilson for Senate in 2004 and for Charlie Wilson for Congress in 2006. He joined the Ohio State Senate in 2007 and has served in that position since.
In 2011, he left the Senate after being chosen by Gov. John Kasich (R) to head the Office of Appalachia. He was replaced by Lou Gentile (D) in December of 2011.[1][2]
Wilson is a small business owner. He has been Vice President of Wilson Funeral and Furniture Company since 1992. Wilson earned his B.A. in political science from Ohio State University in 1992. He went on to receive his MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University in 1996.
