Javier Morejon has been a proud Hialeah resident for over 33 years and is ready to serve on day one. With a Bachelor degree in Public Administration and Certificate in Project Management from FIU, leadership as Chairman of the Hialeah Beautification Board, former Vice Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Historic Preservation Board, and firsthand experience as a land surveyor for over a decade working with municipal governments, Javier is dedicated to preserving Hialeah's history while building a brighter future.
  • Lower the cost of city services like water and garbage by conducting independent audits and finding cost savings. Cost savings that will be used to modernize our aging water and sewer systems to improve quality and reliability. Which in turn will improve drainage in flood-prone neighborhoods. Savings that can go into our fire and police departments as well.
  • Restore transparency and accountability at city hall by making budgets, contracts, and project timelines easily accessible to the public. As a professional, Javier has experienced unnecessary red tape for his clients through different permitting processes, re-zonings, subdivisions, etc. This reflects an aged system in place that needs to be modernized.
  • Beautify our city by planting more trees, expanding shaded areas, and improving park safety and cleanliness. As Chairman of the city's beautification board, Javier successfully advocated, held, and participated in city clean-up efforts and tree planting events. Something that he now carries from the board into the campaign trail.
Javier's curiosity about the world and exploring different cultures opens the door for an innovated and effective vision for the restoration of ordinances to better help the community.
To uphold the City of Hialeah Charter, the US Constitution, and most importantly, the will of our residents.
A Hialeah where any child has the same opportunity that I was given many years ago to become a contributing member of society.
The murder of Jimmy Ryce and the trial that followed. I was around 7 when the conviction was made. As a young kid, I walked by myself to school and these events always stayed with me throughout the years.
First job was and continues to be a professional land surveyor.
1984. It shows us the form of over-extension and repressiveness government can take if society allows totalitarianism.
Absolutely! A well-rounded leader cannot lead if they are not familiar with the tools in their possession. As a professional, I benefit from both the public sector and private sector view of municipal processes.
The ability to read a legal description and understand the requirements of municipal zoning laws.
Miami Realtors and Miami Young Republicans.
Following the steps of our founding fathers and presidents of this nation, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Abraham Lincoln, by serving as a land surveyor.
