I am a 40-year resident of Division 2, a Construction Engineering Management graduate of Oregon State University, with a 42-year construction career as a project manager, company executive and business owner. I bring the private industry perspective to the Board.

I have been active in the community for many years, as a 38-year member of Carmichael Rotary, and currently serve on the Oregon State University Alumni Association Board of Directors. Past service includes Arden Arcade Community Planning Advisory Council, San Juan Unified School District’s Facilities, Transportation and Finance committee, and the Fulton-El Camino Swim Team Parent Board,

I will continue to focus on providing responsible stewardship as we progress with upgrades to our water capital infrastructure and develop new water sources, being mindful of costs and your rates. My job is to make sure our District continues to deliver a high quality, reliable supply of water and superior customer service at the lowest responsible water rate.

Our water is a precious resource and active stewardship is important.

  • I am fiscally conservative, with a keen interest in effectively managing our capital infrastructure.
  • We should consider consolidating some of the multiple water agencies we now have in Sacramento, as long as it is beneficial to the ratepayers of SSWD.
  • Water is a precious resource. In addition to conservation, we need develop other sources of water.
I am most passionate about our water infrastructure, both production (water sources) and distribution, and the long term maintenance and upgrades as necessary to provide a safe, secure and reliable water system.
I am a fiscal conservative, but will endeavor to commit the resources necessary to properly maintain our water systems.
The responsibility of the person elected to the Sacramento Suburban Water District Board of Directors is to represent the ratepayers as we maintain our water system and provide a safe and adequate water supply at a reasonable cost.
