Jean Cowan is a former Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 10 from 2007 to 2013.

Before joining the Oregon House of Representatives as a representative in 2007, Jean Cowan served as mayor of Elgin, a councilwoman of Elgin and a commissioner of Lincoln County.

Biography

Jean Cowan earned her bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Marylhurst College. Her professional experience includes working as an emergency medical technician, a medical assistant, a newspaper editor and a school bus driver.

Cowan won re-election to the 10th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition but was challenged by Becky Lemler in the general election which took place on November 2, 2010.[1]
