Jean K. FitzSimon
Jean K. FitzSimon was a bankruptcy judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Judge FitzSimon was appointed on June 28, 2006, as a bankruptcy judge. She retired on June 26, 2020.[1]
Education
FirzSimon graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School and earned her bachelor's degree from St. Johns College in Annapolis, Maryland.[1]
Career
Judge FitzSimon began her career in the U.S. Department of Justice, supervising litigation under the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts, developed federal legal policy in a variety of areas, and served as the U.S. trustee for the Northern District of Illinois. FitzSimon spent the next several years in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona.[1]
