Jean K. Maurer is a former presiding judge of the Multnomah County Circuit Court in Oregon. The court has jurisdiction over Multnomah County and is located within the 4th Judicial District.[1] Maurer joined the court in 1996 and retired on June 30, 2016.[2]

Educations

Maurer earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1971. She earned her J.D. from the Santa Clara Law School in 1974.[3]

Career

Maurer began her legal career as a deputy district attorney for the Marion County District Attorney's Office. She moved to Portland two years later to work in the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office. She entered private practice with Bill Keys in 1980, and returned to the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office in 1988. She was appointed to the bench in 1996.[3]
