Jean Straight
Jean Straight was the acting Oregon commissioner of insurance. She assumed office in September 2017 following the departure of Laura Cali to serve as the chief financial officer of the Oregon Health Authority.[1][2]
Biography
Straight has more than 20 years of public service experience and has held positions with the Oregon Youth Authority and the Oregon Secretary of State's Office. Prior to taking on the role of acting Oregon commissioner of insurance in September 2017, Straight had served as the deputy director of the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services since May 2012.[1]

Straight assumed the role of acting Oregon commissioner of insurance in September 2017 following former Commissioner Laura Cali's departure to serve as the chief financial officer of the Oregon Health Authority.[2] She was succeeded by Andrew Stolfi in February 2018.[3]
