Hello, Padre Island and Flour Bluff Neighbors. My name is Jeanie Blankenship Paluseo, and I’m running for Flour Bluff ISD Board of Trustees. As a long-time Flour Bluff resident, there are many reasons I’ve chosen to run for School Board. Here are some of those reasons and a little bit of background on who I am.

I love Padre Island and Flour Bluff. These communities are my home. I own businesses and a home on Padre Island, and my husband owns a business in Flour Bluff. We currently reside in Flour Bluff where we are raising three Hustlin’ Hornet children of our own.

I grew up on Padre Island and was saved by grace as a fifteen-year-old kid at Padre Island Baptist Church. I’m also a proud 1986 graduate of Flour Bluff High School. The teachers and coaches at Flour Bluff made a positive impact on me and prepared me for a successful life after high school. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Texas A&M University in 1990, and I still hold a certification to teach in Texas. My desire to work in education drove me to pursue a career in teaching. Upon graduation, however, I took an opportunity to serve our country as a Naval Aviator. In 2001, I transitioned to Navy Reserves and began a law enforcement career flying the P-3 for Customs & Border Protection. I enjoy applying my training and leadership experience toward finding solutions to problems and making difficult decisions. In February 2022, I retired from the Dept of Homeland Security after 21 yrs of service
  • I am deeply concerned and troubled by the direction our country (as a whole) has been moving for the past 30 plus years. I care about our children and the indoctrination that has been occurring across our nation. Currently, my children are in grades 7th, 9th, and 10th at Flour Bluff, and I want them to experience the same excellent education that made Flour Bluff a premier district, along with the patriotic values instilled in me when I was a student. As a board member, I intend to preserve and protect true, conservative, American family values.
  • I intend to work for the community and will apply my attributes to ensure parents, teachers, and taxpayers of FBISD have a voice in making educational and administrative decisions in the District. I believe in stronger ties between these stakeholders and the board and I’d strive to be an effective conduit for their concerns and interests.
  • As the owner of multiple businesses, I am well aware of bottom lines and budgetary needs and constraints. I am a fierce believer in living within your means, not spending on what you cannot afford, and I use this rule in my personal life. Likewise, I believe in transparent accountability when it comes to taxpayer money. It is imperative that a school board be a fiduciary of every single dollar received. I’d promote a balanced budget and maintain a firm stance on long-term strategic planning.
I believe in hard work, accountability, honesty, freedom, liberty, and personal responsibility. I believe schools should support American sovereignty and should promote American patriotism.

I’m reachable at for further discussion at jeanie1167@gmail.com

I am honored by the opportunity to run for School Board, and I humbly ask for your VOTE. Please VOTE Jeanie Paluseo for FBISD Board of Trustees, Place 5.
