Champion for Education & Access. Community Builder. Combat Veteran. I was inspired to be all of this and more as a product of Texas public schools. As the daughter of two life-long educators, my roots are planted firmly in our Tarrant County educational community. My professional and volunteer experiences have impacted all levels of education – from local, district, and state level service supporting our PreK-12 learners, to teaching college students and providing career development opportunities to faculty and staff at UT Arlington, to creating partnerships between DFW-area business and world-class business faculty at TCU.
  • Responsible Board oversight of the $825 million bond passed by Tarrant County voters in 2019. With over a decade of experience of planning and oversight of the Arlington ISD’s 2009, 2014, and 2019 bonds, I have the know-how needed to ensure that voters’ tax dollars will equip facilities, create workforce solutions, and deliver innovative programs accessible by all learners throughout the Tarrant County College District.

  • Support economic development incentives and career training programs which produce high paying jobs in Tarrant County and in Texas.
  • Encourage partnerships with ISDs that support rigorous dual credit courses, early college high schools, and advanced placement testing to reduce the number of credit hours that must be completed after high school to make college more affordable.
