Over 20 years ago, I took a job working in a domestic violence shelter and that experience inspired me to go to law school and become an advocate for survivors of domestic violence.

As a Multnomah County prosecutor and District Attorney of Columbia County, I sought justice for victims and their families in the courtroom, while also using my position to defend the rights of the wrongfully convicted. I’ve prosecuted murder cases and would be ready to tackle the backlog of cases in Multnomah County on day one.

My record has earned me the support of more than 25 Supreme Court Justices and Judges, as well as elected leaders, defense attorneys, and legal experts.

As Circuit Court Judge, I will listen carefully, protect equal justice for all and ensure everyone in our community has access to a fair trial.
  • I truly love Multnomah County. I’m honored to have the support of judges, leaders, and legal experts from across our region. I was raised in Oregon, started a family here, and have dedicated my career to serving the people and seeking justice for victims. As Circuit Court Judge, I will ensure equal justice for all. That's what the law demands and what everyone in our community deserves.
  • I'm proud to have the support of 50+ trusted community leaders. From former Oregon Governor Kate Brown and Congresswoman Andrea Salinas to Multnomah County District Attorney-Elect Nathan Vasquez and Director of Lewis & Clark Law School's Criminal Justice Reform Clinic Aliza Kaplan, my candidacy is bringing people together.
  • I'm honored to have the endorsement of dozens of Oregon judges, including: Judith Matarazzo, Presiding Judge, Multnomah Michael Greenlick, Chief Criminal Judge, Multnomah David Rees, Chief Civil Judge, Multnomah Cheryl Albrecht, Former Chief Criminal Judge, Multnomah Bronson James, Oregon Supreme Court Justice Steven Bushong, Oregon Supreme Court Justice Chris Garrett, Oregon Supreme Court Justice Jacqueline L. As Circuit Court Judge, I will prioritize fair trials and equal justice for all.
I think it is crucial that our judges feel a sense of equality and commonality with every corner of our criminal ecosystem in Multnomah County. All the pieces matter, and we need to respect each other as we try our best to seek justice. The pandemic changed some procedures and practices that have impacted this sense of community, and as a judge I am eager to play a role in bringing this sense of community back.

I also believe humility is a primary characteristic that a judge should exhibit. Humility enables a judge to listen more intently to arguments even when they are initially skeptical, prevents their personal attitudes about a trial from influencing a jury’s thinking, and fosters a culture of fairness, dignity and respect for all in the courtroom.
