- I believe we must protect the rights that have been earned and fought for over our history. We should defend against any infringement of those personal rights, like a women’s reproductive rights, civil rights, and LGTBQ+ rights. We should remember that government is an instrument of the People, and it has a responsibility and obligation to the People, and that the People in turn must take ownership of Government as an instrument for themselves.
- We should work toward affordable health care. Not just the typical healthcare involving physical health, but also mental healthcare as well. These costs overburden families, small businesses, municipalities, and individuals. It can force people into making unacceptable choices of medical care for a family member or paying rent or a mortgage. We can use our legislature to make a difference.
- Education is pivotal for a functional democracy and a vibrant society. We as a state need to do all we feasibly can to assist our public schools in attaining the goal of quality education for all of our children, and that we stand up for teachers who work hard and tirelessly to provide knowledge and skills for the next generation. We should not demonize educators as “indoctrinators” or ban books based on political winds. Knowledge requires critical thinking, and that should be encouraged, not discouraged.

- I will support legislation to promote economic growth for the state and the district by focusing on small businesses and entrepreneurs and build an environment where they can grow and thrive.
