Jeff Ferguson (California)
Jeff Ferguson is a judge of the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He assumed office in 2015. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Ferguson won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Orange County in California outright in the primary on March 3, 2020, after the primary and general election were canceled.

Biography
Education
Ferguson received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Irvine in 1973. In 1982, he earned his J.D. from Western State University College of Law.[1]
Career
Ferguson has worked for the Orange County District Attorney's office since he began his law career in 1983. His most recent position was as senior deputy district attorney.[1]

Arrest and charges in wife's murder
On August 3, 2023, Ferguson was arrested on suspicion that he murdered his wife, Sheryl. On Aug. 4, he was released after posting a $1 million bond. He appeared in court on Aug. 7.[4]
On August, 11, Ferguson was charged with murder.[5] The charges included weapons-related enhancements, according to CBS News, with prosecutors requesting Ferguson surrender his passport, wear and ankle monitor, and possess no alcohol or firearms.[5] He was arraigned on September 1.
