I’m a husband, father, tech leader, community advocate, coalition builder, and champion of education. I was born in Utah and live in House District 23 with my wife and best friend, Caitlin, and our three boys who attend public school in the District. With a unique and unorthodox background in both the private and public sector, I have a successful track record of solving problems and delivering results. I care about education, our environment (particularly the Great Salt Lake and air quality), housing affordability, reliable childcare, homelessness, and so much more. I will promote and advocate for solution-based policies to remove barriers to opportunity because I know when individuals have access to opportunity, communities flourish.

My unique background and qualifications include: -Legislative Aid in Washington D.C. during the Obama Presidency -Tech leader -Board of Directors, The Inn Between (hospice for homeless) and Utah Emerging Leaders Initiative -Head of Operations, Ro Khanna Congressional Campaign -Communications Assoc., Salt Lake City Mayors office -Member/Volunteer, Silicon Slopes and The Policy Project -Bonneville Elementary School Service Committee Member and Volunteer -Jr Jazz basketball coach for my sons

I believe it’s time for a new generation of principled and optimistic leaders who listen, are honest, and who can solve problems and deliver results.

  • A New Generation of Leaders. It is time for a new generation of leaders who listen, are honest, and who can solve problems and deliver results. I am pledging to be one of those leaders.
  • Accessibility. I will be the most accessible legislator you have ever met, I will amplify your voice, and I will ensure that you are seen, heard, and understood.
  • Equal Opportunity. I will work to build equitable policy for the future of our community. I know that when every individual has access to opportunity, communities flourish. I understand effective policy making and how to bring people together with diverse skill sets, backgrounds, and experiences in order to solve problems and deliver results.

I would like to leave a legacy of education and investing in our children because they are our future. We should be investing in their learning, development, and growth to have a more prosperous society in years to come.
