Being native born in this district and as the fifth consecutive generation of my family to serve in military uniform, all of us combat veterans - I've spent my entire adult life not just serving this great Republic, but fighting against everything for which the socialist left stands. And while I'm proud of my military service - it's not the pride that carries me forward into this campaign, but rather the purpose of my service that brings me here.

The socialists are working hard to transform our country, and our state, into something unrecognizable from the sound principles this country was founded on. They're attempting to destroy the very constructs and greatness that America embodies; the very freedoms that I and generations of my family fought for. And I for one, REFUSE to sit by idly, and allow any further encroachment of our precious LIBERTY, or the infringement and outright trampling of our constitutional rights that's happening right before our very eyes!

I pray for America's future, but I also realize that patriots like you and I must continue working for her, defending her, and loving her with everything we have in our heart and soul. America isn't perfect - but make no mistake: America is without a doubt the greatest nation in the history of mankind for one reason alone: LIBERTY!
  • FIGHTING FOR THE REPUBLIC! Defending the U.S. Constitution and the rule of law is IMPERATIVE! LIBERTY MUST PREVAIL! The Bill of Rights is a restraint on government, not on the people!
  • FIGHTING FOR VIRGINIA! This state is the symbolic HEART OF AMERICAN HISTORY! The home of eight U.S. Presidents: George Washington (1st), Thomas Jefferson (3rd), James Madison (4th), James Monroe (5th), William Henry Harrison (9th), John Tyler (10th), Zachary Taylor (12th), and Woodrow Wilson (28th). The home of countless Civil War battlefields! The home of Arlington National Cemetery where we buried our honored heroes! Let not the work of those PATRIOTS who have come before us be lost to our own lack of self discipline and introspection!
  • FIGHTING FOR YOU! We must continue to learn from our past without hanging on to it, defending our birthright without forgetting what it cost those who have come before, and earning our own way without being resentful or jealous of others who are doing the same. Show gratitude for what we have. Exercise individual responsibility with the same tenacity which we exercise our individual rights.
We must, first and foremost, secure the ballot box! The right to vote must be protected and exercised with the highest degree of integrity. Voter ID is the foundation upon which any election should be conduced. It is the cornerstone of legitimate governance!

Secondly, good governance must place the elected official on the same level as the constituent. We must hold elected officials responsible and accountable in the same fashion as everyone else.

Thirdly, but no less important, defeat the immoral and unjust ideology of socialism.
The greatest legacies are those that build a place where others can live freely (LIFE), express openly (LIBERTY), and earn honestly. (PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS). I've built that legacy my entire life, but I have more to give. A lot more! I will give it my ALL!
I remember watching the news about the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 (9 years old). I was generally curious about the event but also aware that the Cold War was going on at the time. I also remember the bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut in 1981 (11 years old). I remember feeling both shocked and sick to my stomach at the same time. I'll never forget running outside to tell my parents about it. The third event, and probably the one that sticks with me the most is the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion in 1986 (16 years old). One of our teachers was the alternate astronaut to Christa McAuliffe and our whole school was watching the event on TV in our classrooms. The sense of tragedy and loss on both a personal and national level was enormous.
My kids keep singing this song from High School Musical 2 and IT WILL NOT LEAVE MY HEAD! LOL

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a - it is pronounced (hoo-moo-hoo-moo-noo-koo-noo-koo-ah-poo-ah-ah)
The greatest threat our country faces is from socialist within our own country and government. America must remain strong in order to face both our traditional nation-state adversaries as well as newer non-state actors/entities, but we can't do those things effectively or efficiently when we have internal threats to LIBERTY!
If it's good enough for the Presidency, then it should be good enough for every other political office in the land. Limit Senators to two terms and Representatives to three terms. This mitigates the power of lobbyists and special interests, giving constituents more political capital with their elected officials.
There are a number of representatives who are worthy of being role models, including but not limited to: Trey Gowdy, Devin Nunes, Jim Jordan, Doug Collins, Newt Gingrich, and Fred Thompson.
