Kazanow ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Georgia's 6th District. Kazanow defeated Robert Montigel in the Democratic primary after it went to a recount. He lost to incumbent Tom Price (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
