Jeff Longwell
Jeff Longwell was the Mayor of Wichita in Kansas. Longwell assumed office on April 14, 2015. Longwell left office on January 13, 2020.
Longwell ran for re-election for Mayor of Wichita in Kansas. Longwell lost in the general election on November 5, 2019.
He was first elected on April 7, 2015.[1]
Before becoming mayor, Longwell was a member of the Wichita City Council, representing District 5 from 2007 to 2015. He was the vice-mayor of Wichita from April 2010 to April 2011.[2]
Biography
Longwell is a graduate of West High School. He holds a B.S. from Wichita State University. His professional experience includes working as the Vice President of Ad Astra Print Resources, as a Marketing Director for The Print Source and as the General Manager for Thermal Trade Graphics.[3]

2015
The city of Wichita, Kansas, held elections for mayor and city council on April 7, 2015. A primary took place on March 3, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was January 27, 2015. Three of the six city council seats were up for election.[4]
In the primary election for mayor, Jeff Longwell and Samuel M. Williams advanced past Robert L. E. Culver, Sean Hatfield, Tony Rosales, Frances Jackson, Dan Heflin, Tracy S. Stewart and Jennifer Winn. Longwell defeated Williams in the general election on April 7.[5] Incumbent Carl Brewer was ineligible to run for re-election due to term limits.[6]
