Jeff McCabe (Maine)
Jeffrey M. "Jeff" McCabe is a former Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 107 from 2008 to 2016. Following the 2014 elections, McCabe was named as majority leader.
McCabe did not seek re-election to the Maine House of Representatives in 2016. Instead, he ran unsuccessfully for District 3 of the Maine State Senate.
Biography
McCabe's professional experience includes working as the Director of Lake George Regional Park and Executive Director of the Somerset County Soil and Water Conservation District.

2014
Elections for the Maine House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 10, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 17, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the primary election was April 28, 2014, and the deadline for non-party candidates to run in the general election was June 2, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the general election was September 22, 2014. District 85 incumbent Jeffrey McCabe was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Timothy Amadon was unopposed in the Republican primary. McCabe defeated Amadon in the general election.[5][6][7][8]

McCabe's opponent in the November 2 general election was Republican candidate Brian Hale. According to unofficial results, McCabe defeated Hale in the November 2 general election.[11]

McCabe and his wife, Sara, have two children.[15] He is a Trustee of Somerset Woods, and a member of the Kennebec Valley Tourism Council, Western Mountains Alliance, Skowhegan Budget Committee, Skowhegan Conservation Commission, and the Skowhegan Planning Board.[16]
