Jeff Mullis (Republican Party) was a member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 53. He assumed office in 2001. He left office on January 9, 2023.

Mullis (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Georgia State Senate to represent District 53. He did not appear on the ballot for the Republican primary on May 24, 2022.


Biography

Mullis' professional experience includes working as the fire chief of the Walker County Fire and Rescue and community planner.

"Tom" Dooley in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[5][6][7]

On November 4, 2008, Mullis won re-election to the Georgia Senate from Georgia's 53rd Senate district. Mullis received 37,814 votes in the election, defeating Bruce Coker (D), who received 18,879 votes.[13] Mullis raised $376,320 for his campaign in 2008; Coker raised $18,643.[14]

Decision to self-quarantine for coronavirus on March 19, 2020

Mullis, along with his Georgia State Senate colleagues, entered self-quarantine after State Sen. Brandon Beach tested positive for coronavirus.[19]
