The city of Cincinnati, Ohio, held elections on November 7, 2017. A primary election for the mayoral race was held on May 2, 2017. The top two vote-getters faced each other in the general election. The filing deadline for mayoral candidates was February 16, 2017. All nine seats on the city council were up for election. Regardless of the number of candidates, Cincinnati does not hold a primary election for the city council races. The filing deadline for city council candidates was August 24, 2017.[1] The following candidates ran in the geneal election for nine seats on the Cincinnati City Council.[2]

Noteworthy events
Pastor arrested on federal bribery charges
On Nov. 10, 2020, Pastor was arrested on federal bribery charges. He was charged with 10 counts, including wire fraud, bribery, attempted extortion by a government official, and money laundering.[3]
Jeff Pastor is the second member of the Cincinnati City Council to be arrested in 2020, following the February arrest of Tamaya Dennard (D).[4]
Pastor was suspended from the city council on November 23, 2020.[5]
