Jeff Regnier was born in Blue Island, Illinois. Regnier's career experience includes working as a business owner. He has been affiliated with the Illinois State Rifle Association, National Rifle Association, Knights of Columbus, and the U.S. Concealed Carry Association.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a father and a strong supporter of our Constitution. I'm a small business owner who has built my businesses to provide a better future for my children, meanwhile providing well-paying jobs to the community. I started working construction building parks in low-income neighborhoods. At 23 years old, I worked a second job for General Motors as a mechanic to provide for my four children as a single father. My father is a retired Chicago police officer, my brother is a Chicago fireman, and I have many other family members in the military.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Preserving American Freedom
• Reducing Inflation
• Made in the USA

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe it’s time we rebuild Illinois and America. Everyone deserves a shot to have a great paying job and the possibility of homeownership. It’s about our kids. To provide them with a plan for future economic prosperity and security. To lower gas prices and be energy efficient by using American resources and not other nations. To project a powerful military to protect our shores. For a stronger border to cut off the flow of fentanyl that is contributing to hundreds of thousands of overdoses including police officers that are exposed to the drug. Together we can Save America!

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

To be honest, no one specifically, but anyone that has the courage to overcome adversity and thrive deserve respect.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Integrity

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

Tenacity, management skills, integrity, courage

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

You are responsible to represent your constituents. And to do so I believe you have to be transparent, available, and disciplined.

What legacy would you like to leave?

Fixing the current America so that the next generations also have a chance

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

Harold Washington being elected as the first African American Chicago Mayor. I was 6 years old.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Working with my Grandfather as a very young boy. He was a tile setter, and while I unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to work with him as long as I would have liked, he did teach me the value of hard work, and about the struggles that legal immigrants face.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. It showed the struggles that both the individual and small businesses have.

What was the last song that got stuck in your head?

I Don't Wanna Know by Fleetwood Mac

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Being a single father, and finding a decent paying job.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

Many different backgrounds coming together as one voice that represents all Americans.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

No

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Inflation, middle class jobs, dependency of energy, and manufacturing.

Manufacturing, Small Business, Labor, Taxes, Energy,

Term is too short due to constant campaigning, versus focusing on the issues Americans face.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

Term limits are required to keep the health of the system of government.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

Absolutely

The Constitution says that all bills for raising revenue must originate in the House. What role would this power play in your priorities if elected?

To bring small businesses back to America, specifically manufacturing, and energy independence.
