Jeff Taylor (Kentucky legislator)
Jeff Taylor (Democratic Party) was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 8. Taylor assumed office on March 15, 2016. Taylor left office in 2017.
Taylor (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 8. Taylor lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Taylor was a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 8. He was first elected to the chamber in a special election on March 8, 2016, and served until his term ended in 2017.
On January 8, 2020, Governor Andy Beshear and Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman named Taylor as the Cabinet for Economic Development's commissioner for Business Development.[1]

Special election
A special election for the position of Kentucky House of Representatives District 8 was called for March 8. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 19.[2]
The seat was vacant following John Tilley's (D) resignation to become secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet.[3]
Jeffery Taylor (D) defeated Walker Thomas (R) in the special election.[4][5]
