Campaign website

Williams' campaign website stated the following:

Jeff Williams is a dedicated law enforcement professional, military veteran, and family man with deep roots in Searcy, Arkansas, where he grew up. At just 17, Jeff answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the Army National Guard. He completed basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he earned the Top Gun Award for the highest qualification score in infantry marksmanship. Shortly after, he deployed to Iraq with the 39th Infantry Brigade, serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a gunner in the heavy weapons unit and designated marksman for his platoon. His distinguished service earned him the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB), along with several Army Achievement Medals and Army Commendation Medals.

After returning home, Jeff continued to serve his community as a firefighter and EMT, graduating from the Arkansas Fire Academy in Camden, Arkansas. He soon found his true calling in law enforcement. In 2009, Jeff joined the White County Sheriff’s Office and graduated from the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy (ALETA) with honors in academics and quickly rose through the ranks.

In recognition of his exceptional investigative work, Jeff received the Detective of the Year Award in the Criminal Investigation Division (CID). He has undergone extensive training in crime scene procedures, interviews and interrogations, and evidence preservation and collection. Jeff is also a firearms instructor, less-lethal weapons instructor, and Certified Police Instructor, among many other certifications. His dedication to developing the next generation of law enforcement officers is evident in his successful training of numerous deputies, jailers, and detectives. Over the years, he has become a cornerstone of the department, receiving the prestigious Detective of the Year Award for his work in the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the Valor Award for his life saving efforts.

Throughout his career, Jeff has been a leader both on and off the field. He was selected and served on the Arkansas Sheriff’s Association Honor Guard, where he provided funeral services for fallen officers across the state and also presented colors of ceremonies at police graduations and various law enforcement events. Additionally, he was selected as one of the original members of the Special Response Team (SRT) and later became the SRT team leader. He has completed Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) school, Sheriff’s Administration and Management Course (SAMC), School of Law Enforcement Supervision (SLES), and Arkansas Leader, further establishing his leadership expertise. He’s also been a vital member of the Dive Team, participating in numerous dive operations and recoveries.

Over the years, Jeff has served as a supervisor in every division of the sheriff’s office, from Corporal to Lieutenant, bringing a wealth of experience to his candidacy for White County Sheriff through his significant contributions to the department.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jeff has been married to his wife, Rachel, a fellow police officer, since 2017. Together, they are raising four children, making family and community a central part of his life.

In all aspects of his life, Jeff believes that putting God first and relying on his faith are what guide his commitment to service, honor, and integrity, which form the foundation of his vision for White County’s future.
