My family and I moved to Rowlett in 2014 after outgrowing our previous home in Arlington. We immediately fell in love with Rowlett because of the kindness of our neighbors and the small-town feel that is hard to find in most Dallas suburbs.

I am a very lucky husband to Elaina, and father of 4 amazing children – Kallie (17), Paul(15), Rachel(12), & Sarah(10).

I have a heart for service and a passion for photography, technology, and the outdoors. I attend Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church in Rowlett where I also serve in a variety of ministries. I have long-been involved in all-things Rowlett, including interviewing City Council candidates in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023.

Professionally, I have the pleasure of serving as Director of Finance & Administration with a firm in Plano which provides security awareness and technical software training to legal firms around the world. Through my current and past work experience, I am well-versed in a highly detail-oriented, results-drive environment. I have extensive experience in strategic planning, business operations, and management.
  • Home ownership is one of the most fundamental parts of being an American. Unfortunately, it's becoming more unattainable due to rapid inflation and the impact of rising interest rates. To provide some relief in mitigating these increases, I'm proposing an increase of the city's homestead exemption to $10,000. This will effectively take roughly a half-million dollars in revenue away from the city, but this is a necessary step to protect those who are making the biggest investment of their life.
  • Leading up to the 2024 bond election, I’m proud to have been a strong supporter of Proposition D – the inclusion of street lights along Lakeview Parkway. Not only will this dramatically improve safety and deter criminal activity on the city’s primary corridor, but it will change the entire aesthetic of the City of Rowlett. Even more importantly, Proposition A included a complete rework of the traffic signals throughout the City. Over the past few months, I have worked closely with city management to ensure this is a top priority and is first on the list of capital items to be upgraded.
  • I am committed to building a whole community in which we prioritize critical needs like public safety and infrastructure while also investing in our public spaces and amenities that enhance quality of life. These additions indirectly enhance safety, our local economy, and make Rowlett a place people want to call home.
I have long been passionate about transparency and communication in government. Often, communication breaks down, leaving the public wondering where their money is spent, and decisions made at the leadership level in a void. We must make intentional efforts to address our residents, listen to them, and provide informational feedback that bridges that gap.
I look up to those who set the pace for others to follow. This includes a wide group of individuals - political figures, athletes, teachers, public servants, and more. There are millions of people who work hard every day to strive for excellence, and they are the ones really making a difference.
Although not the first event I remember, I was the most impacted by the events of 9/11. As a senior in high school, the impact of our nation reeling from an attack on our home turf was a tremendous wakeup call. This made me realize the fragility of the democracy we love, and the lengths at which we must collectively go to protect it at all costs.
As Mayor, my responsibility is to set the vision and tone for the city as an organization. I must be the "face" of the city in times of celebration as well as times of crisis. Serving as mayor takes a firm resolve, steadfast hand, calm demeanor, and trusted leadership. I check each of these boxes and more, and know that I will excel in this role.
My favorite thing about Rowlett is definitely the people. We are a community of givers - from our volunteerism to the shared belief in each other.
Many community leaders and activists support my campaign. Those endorsements can be found on my website.
