Jefferson City Charter Amendments, 3 (April 2012)
Three Jefferson City Charter Amendment measures were on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the city of Jefferson which is in Cole County.
All three measures were approved
The first measure sought to amend the city charter so that a February primary election would only be needed if there were three or more candidates for a designated position.
The second measure sought to amend the city charter so that the City Council would not be in charge of hiring or firing employees below the Department Directors.
The third measure sought to amend the city charter so that the City Council would not be in charge of hiring or firing employees below the Police Chief.[1]
