A Jefferson County Library Bond Measure was on the August 16, 2011 ballot in the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County.

This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $8.4 million in order to build an expansion on to the current library facility. Library officials noted the large increase in usage of the library and need to expand services. The new addition would have added 9,700 square feet to the current facility. The bond would not cover the entire cost of the addition so library officials had planned to raise the additional money through donations.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Trustees of Jefferson County Rural Library District adopted resolution 2011-01 concerning this proposition for bonds. This proposition, if approved by the qualified voters of the District, would authorize the District to renovate and expand the main library in Port Hadlock to increase space for books, services, technology and programs; to issue not more than $8,400,000 of general obligation bonds maturing within maximum of 20 years; and collect excess property taxes annually to repay the bonds, as provided in Resolution 2011-01.[3][4] |
