Jeffrey Bates
Jeffrey W. Bates is a judge of the Missouri Court of Appeals Southern District. He assumed office on November 14, 2003. His current term ends on December 31, 2030.

Education
Judge Bates was born on September 28, 1958, in Petersburg, Virginia. He received a B.S. from Southwest Missouri State University in 1979 and a J.D. degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1984.[1]

Judge Bates worked as an attorney in private practice in Springfield from 1984 until his appointment to the court of appeals 2003.[1]
